Partner Rural Bank, Inc. (formerly Rural Bank of Pigcawayan) continue its operations from founding and licensing year of 1978, up to the present, the bank has consistently shown its endurance and fortitude as it went through a number of financial crises suffered by the national economy and the banking industry. It survived the 1984 financial difficulties of the formerly successful Masagana 99 Rice Production Program. It survived the 1998 financial crises and capital flight from what could have been the Asian Tigers, and the latest 2008 Wall Street Financial crises as well as the Euro – crumbling finances. The Partner Rural Bank, Inc. also survived not only the financial but also the political crises, that is, the numerous political failures and collapses since 1986 up to present. The Partner Rural Bank, Inc. kept on surviving the social conflicts and the war – like conditions of the Cotabato and Central Mindanao regions since last half of the 1970’s up to the present. Yet, we stood fearless and undaunted continuously believing that the poor rural population and micro-small businessmen and entrepreneurs of this part of Mindanao still need a rural financial institution, no matter how small, that somehow could provide rural and agriculture – directed credits to the people who needed them most.

That is much about us, and for 44 years already, definitely consistent, and with no deflections. We are part of that history – of this part of Mindanao.
